Psychiatric Solutions & SandyPines Celebrate 20 Years of ServiceTEQUESTA, Fla. – (April 20, 2010) – SandyPines, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, is celebrating 20 years as a community service provider. The facility recently held several events to commemorate this milestone. A 20th anniversary gala was held on Feb. 18 at Jupiter Beach Resort in Jupiter, Fla. Honored guests and speakers among the 100 attendees included CEO John McCarthy; Joey Jacobs, CEO of Psychiatric Solutions; Clark Flatt, CEO and founder of The Jason Foundation; and keynote speaker Connell Wise, CEO and founder of the National Association of Youth-Owned Businesses and a Government Commissioner in the District of Columbia. Wise is also a former resident of SandyPines. “We are very proud of our 20 years of service to our community,” said McCarthy. “This milestone is a testament to the efforts of the many employees of the facility who work hard every day to provide outstanding patient care to those in need. We look forward providing such care and commitment for many years to come.” In addition to the gala on Feb. 18, SandyPines staff was honored at an appreciation luncheon in which facility residents entertained attendees with a singing talent show. Employees who had achieved milestones of five, 10, 15 and 20 years of service at the facility were recognized. SandyPines also held a continuing education event on Feb. 19 entitled, “A Day of Awareness: Teen Suicide Education and Prevention.” Clark Flatt and Donald Cavanaugh, Youth & Family Services Coordinator from Compass, Inc., presented to approximately 140 attendees.
